The Bronx Borough Office, under the leadership of President Vanessa L. Gibson, hosted a dynamic *African Community Resource Fair* at the Borough Hall Rotunda on April 1, 2025. The event highlighted initiatives from the Borough’s Community Service Program, with special focus on the *African Advisory Council* as one of its key divisions.
Among the exhibitors, Yeshiva University’s *Wurzweiler Care Café* program stood out for its innovative approach to community support. Program Director Dr. Kimberly Moore was interviewed about their trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services that provide « tools of hope » for personal growth and healing.
« This fair represents exactly the type of collaboration we value, » Dr. Moore told reporters. « At Wurzweiler Care Café, we meet communities where they are, offering respectful support tailored to individual needs. » She emphasized their commitment to serving the Bronx’s diverse populations, particularly the African diaspora community.

The event featured vibrant cultural performances, including a showcase by the *Housa Housa* dance troupe, while connecting attendees with vital resources.
